Cheating (only slightly), as I needed a long telephoto lens. This was yesterday morning, before the snow returned. I presume this is the same buck that has been in the garden over the past month. His velvet is now gone as his antlers are full grown.
It is interesting that he is eating grass on the golf course as roe deer usually aren't very keen on it, apart from young fresh growth. I expect there still isn't much else for them at the moment. I have kept the gate shut at night for the past week as the deer had started to eat the bluebells as well as the ivy.
