A walk round the pond

An early morning trip to Banks' Pond in sunshine.  This common blue damsel fly was having breakfast.

These male common blue butterflies were sharing a sun lounger.

This immature male emerald damselfly and immature female blue-tailed damselfly were also sharing a spot in the sun.

These common blue damsels were sharing more than the sunshine.

A male four-spotted chaser was warming up before a spot of chasing.

As were the burnet moths.

The male small skipper was also having breakfast.

While a pair of large skippers were eyeing each other up.

And a teneral common darter was stretching its wings.
