Through the kitchen window

Because we have had a mild winter the roe deer in the park have been able to find enough to eat.  After the excitement of seeing them in the garden this time last year I was hoping the same would happen this year but the ivy on the outside of my fence remains uneaten.  Early this morning I saw these three through the kitchen window while I was washing up.  The first golfers of the morning were teeing off from the sixth tee, just out of shot to the left, and these three roe deer were watching.  They are a doe (L), a mature buck, and a first winter buck (R).

The deer were over 300 yards away and the only camera I could grab had only a medium telephoto lens (the others are set up for the sparrowhawk).  And the kitchen window needs cleaning, so the photos are below par but they are fun to see.  Notice one golf ball in the foreground which hasn't travelled very far.

Many of the golfers round here aren't very good so the green may be the safest place to stand.  However, the deer did move off once the golfers were approaching down the fairway.
