Not a bad start
When I first saw the kestrel she was sitting in a tree, staring into a field. There was nothing doing there so she moved to a telegraph pole across the road and from there made a pounce but didn't catch anything. Then up onto the gate and away in a flash. All photos at distance and heavily cropped but worth seeing. A good way to start the new year.

She appears to have something attached to her right foot. Good photo start to the new year!
ReplyDeleteI think I see what you mean. Looking at the originals I think it is just a dead leaf - probably picked up on the talon when she pounced and missed.
