Mipit?

Mipit* in a tree or tripit**?

* Meadow pipit
**Tree pipit
Both birder slang.

  1. During Monday's NHS bird class outing to Slaley Forest we saw and heard the song flight of several tree pipits. Following such good views I would venture that yours are Mipit as the chest streaks are heavier and Tripit flanks were a distinct, cleaner creamy white. What do you think?

  2. I think meadow too, as the hind claw is long - second photo. Mind you having apparently one dark and one pink/orange leg is a bit confusing!
